The project “Why art?” was realized during my exchange semester in the masterprogram “Art and Public Space” in Oslo, Norway. It is an exploration of the views and opinions towards art in artistic and non-artistic milieus. My method was to use a questionnaire with various questions concerning art and handing it out to people professionally concerned and not concerned with art. In addition I asked the participants after completing the survey whether they'd agree to take a photograph. Three of those were portrayed together with a quote of one of their answers.
